Cashew Milk: No Soak or Strain

A high-powered blender such a Vitamix is all you need to create easy and delicious cashew milk that requires no soaking or straining. Chilling this non-dairy delight makes it perfect for frothing your favorite drink. The amount of cashews added determines the creaminess. A lovely Italian Glass Bottle is wonderful for storage.

  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 1/2 cup or more raw cashews approximately
  • Blend for 1 1/2 minutes to 2 minutes at high speed
    • Pour into container
    • Store chilled
    • Shake well before serving
    • Use within 7-10 days

Cashews have a neutral flavor that makes them well-suited to many recipes. Adding flavoring or sweeteners is optional. Making cashew milk yourself allows for complete control over your ingredients.

Quick Note: Raw almonds will not work in this case. Straining is required due to their skin. This nut has a stronger flavor profile that is not as adaptable.
